2008 MAJOR PEEWEE INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT

MAY 30 – JUNE 1

 

 

Dear Manager/Coach:

 

On behalf of the City of Vaughan Baseball Association, I wish to welcome and thank you for participating in our tournament.  It is shaping up to be a very full and competitive weekend with good baseball and a whole lot of fun.

To avoid any problems and ensure a smoothly run tournament, please take note of the following administrative issues:

 

  • Please arrive at the park 45 minutes prior to your 1st game
  • Provide a copy of your Sign-In Sheet (attached)
  • Please note that while OBA Rosters approved by your Affiliate Registrar are not required to be handed in, you must have one with you in the event that player eligibility is questioned.
  • It will be incumbent on all team managers to verify the score for each game.  The game scoresheet signed by the managers and umpires will be the official record for both scores

 

Upon arrival for your first game, the convenor will provide each Head Coach with a “Special Discount Flyer” for each of your players from “Reebok Vaughan Mills, which provides users with a 30% discount all weekend at the Vaughan Mills location (Hwy. 400 & Rutherford) only.  These flyers can be used multiple times all weekend.

 

As well, the convenor will provide each Head Coach with a “MVP/VIP CARD” for each of your players from “Shoeless Joe’s Restaurant” (baseball sports bar), which provides users with a  discount on food at both locations (Keele & Rutherford in Maple and Hwy. # 7 and Whitmore in Woodbridge).  These cards can be used multiple times all weekend!!!!  If you plan on taking a team there for lunch or dinner, please call ahead and reserve your tables, as the restaurants get booked quickly with teams!

 

There is an on-site convenor should you have any problems or questions. 

 

The on-site convenors for this tournament are Jeff Albaum, Ken Lamarucciola and Guy Maratta..
