NYBA MAJOR BANTAM TOURNAMENT
HOMERUN DERBY

PROCESS

The Homerun Derby will take place at Bond Park on Saturday June 5th at 1:30pm.  The Bond Park snackbar and BBQ will be open and serving lunch.

Coaches must submit the names of the players participating by Friday June 4th.

The homerun derby will take place on Bond Park’s Bantam diamond.

The start time of Game #13 at Talbot Park was pushed back in order to allow the two affected teams enough time to travel to Talbot Park after the homerun derby.  Teams participating in Game #11 may warmup in right field of the Main diamond or on the adjacent Mosquito diamond.

HOME-RUN DERBY

Two player representatives per team.  Players must select their own pitcher. Pitchers will not be provided.  Each player receives seven (7) outs.  Any swing that does not result in a homerun is considered to be an out.   Hitting the ball over the fence does not count as an out.

The top two players (and ties) who hit the most homeruns advance to the final round.  Each finalist receives seven (7)* outs. The player who hits the most homeruns in the final round is the winner.   *Note this number may be lowered due to time constraints and number of finalists.

In the event of a tie in the final round between two more players, the tied players shall participate in ‘Sudden Death’.  Players alternate at-bats until one player hits a homerun and the other players do not.
