HOMERUN DERBY
PROCESS
The Homerun Derby will take place at Bond Park on Saturday June 5th at 1:30pm. The Bond Park snackbar and BBQ will be open and serving lunch.
Coaches must submit the names of the players participating by Friday June 4th.
The homerun derby will take place on Bond Park’s Bantam diamond.
The start time of Game #13 at Talbot Park was pushed back in order to allow the two affected teams enough time to travel to Talbot Park after the homerun derby. Teams participating in Game #11 may warmup in right field of the Main diamond or on the adjacent Mosquito diamond.
HOME-RUN
DERBY
Two
player representatives per team. Players
must select their own pitcher. Pitchers will
not be provided. Each player
receives seven (7) outs. Any swing that
does not result in a homerun is considered to be an out. Hitting the ball over the fence does not
count as an out.
The
top two players (and ties) who hit the most homeruns advance to the final round.
Each finalist receives seven (7)* outs.
The player who hits the most homeruns in the final round is the winner. *Note
this number may be lowered due to time constraints and number of finalists.
In
the event of a tie in the final round between two more players, the tied
players shall participate in ‘Sudden Death’.
Players alternate at-bats until one player hits a homerun and the other
players do not.
