1. Create an enjoyable baseball environment
2. Emphasize values such as teamwork and sportsmanship
3. Improve, teach and enhance skills
4. Offer a competitive schedule that exposes the team to the highest levels of competition
In short, we hope to provide the best baseball program possible and to make the children's experience memorable and rewarding.
Commitment
The Scarborough Stingers endeavor to run a highly competitive program. The team can expect to play approximately 60 - 70 games involving league play, tournaments (6 or more), city and Provincial play-offs. We also practice frequently, usually once or twice a week but more if necessary. By combining an extensive game and practice schedule with the instruction of a dedicated and conscientious coaching staff, we hope to raise the skill level of all the players on the team.
League Play
The Scarborough Stingers play in the Toronto Baseball League. The regular season will consist of about a 22 game schedule running from May to mid-August. Games will be played on all nights of the week. Home games will be played Wednesday nights at Neilson Park.
Coaching Staff
The team is coached by an experienced and knowledgeable staff headed by Frank Gallo and is dedicated to making this season an enjoyable and successful one.
