First Exhibition game in the Books!

Luc The Scarborough Stingers opened the 2006 series with a 16-12 win over Richmond Hill Phoenix. After practicing all winter, we were ready to face the team that we had lost to the year before. I got up to bat hitting clean up with two men on and Frank giving me the “Hit it out of here” sign from third base. I nodded my head and swung at the first pitch of my first at bat of the season. When I hit the ball, I thought that I was going to be out, but then I noticed that it was over the right fielder’s head so I rounded

first, and went to second. When I got to second, I noticed Frank waving me over to third. I rounded third and saw that they still hadn’t got it in to the infield. I decided to go home because I thought it would be a great opening to my season. And it was. My teammates came out to congratulate me, and that was only the first inning. We had 13 more runs to come. Thanks to Steven’s, Josh’s, Sammy’s, and Patrick’s pitching, we only allowed 12 runs from Richmond Hill. |
