Opening Day Tournament Kicks Off Season

David

Our team came into this tournament pumped up, on a count of this was our first tournament of they year. We had to be pumped up because we were facing a very tough North York team. Fortunately the pitching was great on our side and we had some great cracks at the plate giving us the win in the game.

The next day we were facing a surprisingly good Etobicoke team. After crushing us in the last time we faced them we wanted to give them a little taste of their own medicine. Unfortunately they out played us the first half of the game. So we down by 3 coming into the last innings. I step up to the plate with two men on, and the pressure was intense on me. The first few pitches I took good swings at but missed and fouled one off. So with 0-2 I take a

huge hack at the third pitch to drive it over the fence for my first home run of the year and to tie the game! After another comeback we come out the winners in this close, close game.

The next game against East York didn't really matter but East York gave a awesome fight and I give them props for that.

The next day we came early to find out who we played in the finals. Either North York or Etobicoke. The winner turned out to be Etobicoke. So we head out onto the field and g et ready to play the finals. But Etobicoke just outplayed us in the finals. They were hitting the ball good and their pitching were great as well. So we had to settle for second place, but overall a great tournament Stingers!
