The Stingers won their 3rd tournament of 2006 by defeating the Mississauga Twins 10-4 in the final game.

The Stingers faced the Burlington Bulls on Friday night and beat them 12-2 after 5 innings.  Trevor pitched a great game, striking out 4 and allowing 2 runs.  Big Josh hit a 2 run homer to deep right field.

The Saturday morning game against the Brampton Braves was suspended in the middle of the 5th inning due to very wet field conditions.  Sam pitched into the 4th, striking out 6 and allowing no runs.  After the rain stopped and the diamond was groomed, play resumed with the Stingers ahead 6-0.  The final score was 9-1 for the Stingers.

The 3rd game was played against the Mississauga Tigers on Saturday evening.  The Tigers took their runs from some sleepy Stingers in the first 2 innings.  The Stingers came back slowly but never more than 1 run per inning.  Despite a lovely double play in the 5th, the Stingers lost 5-4.

Due to all those Wednesday night practices in the gym, the Stingers came out on top of the White division with the best defensive ratio and advanced to the semi-finals.

The semi-final game took place Sunday morning against the Brampton Royals.   The Stingers took an early lead scoring 8 runs on 5 hits in the 2nd inning, stealing home twice on passed balls.  Adam pitched 6 innings fanning 2 batters, allowing no walks and only 2 runs in the 1st inning.  The final score was 11-4 for the Stingers.
