Coach Frank's Year End Message

2006....... A great season for our Mosquitos. We stung a lot of teams.

Four tournament championships ( Newmarket, Ajax, Brantford & Mississauga Southwest ), and in the finals in Cambridge. We also did well in the Vaughan tournament.

We qualified for the Provincials, in the league tournament. In Windsor we came in 5/6, losing to the two teams that went to the finals. (Whitby beat Riverside in the finals)

Each player improved as the season went along, with better fielding, hitting, pitching and improving your mental game. A great building block for years to come. We played as a team with every player contributing. But the thing I liked the most about you guys, is the way you behaved on the field and off the field. Always gracious in winning or losing. Treating umpires, team-mates, coaches and other players, with respect.

Winning 51 games, is not something you do every year. So I hope you are as proud of our accomplishments as I am of you. I had a great time, and I hope you all did too.

Special thanks to our coaches, Mark, Bob & Peter, for all your help, and the countless hours you have dedicated to the team. Bob, thanks for all the endless time you have spent on the website, a perfect vehicle for communication. (Check the website!) Veronica, thank-you for obtaining those excellent tickets at Comerica Park. What a fantastic evening. Elvin, thank-you for all those pics of the team.

And lastly, and most importantly, thanks to the best group of parents. You are great! I just can't say that enough. You play a large part in the success of this team.
